Wind tide effect on Houghton Lake 2016-07-08
Below are two photos of the Lake today.
The top photo was the water level before todays storm.
The bottom photo was the water during the todays storm.
The wind was so hard (excess of 40 mph) that it pushes
water across the lake and raises the water level over a foot!
This is called a wind tide.
